What is Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation happens when a man has an orgasm sooner than he or his partner would like. Premature ejaculation can happen before or shortly after penetration.

There is no set time for how long a man should “last” during sex. But when a man has an orgasm before he wants to, he loses his erection and can’t continue with intercourse. Premature ejaculation can be frustrating and embarrassing. You may feel you don’t have enough time to enjoy sex. You may have difficulty satisfying your partner. For some men, embarrassment about premature ejaculation can cause problems with intimacy and damage their relationships.

Premature ejaculation is a common problem among men. About 30 percent to 40 percent of men have this problem at some time in their lives.

What causes premature ejaculation?

Most cases of premature ejaculation do not have a clear cause. With sexual experience and age, men often learn to delay orgasm. Premature ejaculation may occur with a new partner, only in certain sexual situations, or if it has been a long time since the last ejaculation. Psychological factors such as anxiety, guilt, or depression can cause premature ejaculation. In some cases, premature ejaculation may be related to an underlying medical cause such as hormonal problems, injury, or a side effect of certain medicines.

Men who have a low amount of a special chemical called serotonin in their brain may have problems with premature ejaculation

What are the symptoms ?

The main symptom of premature ejaculation is an uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after intercourse begins. Ejaculation occurs before the person wishes it, with minimal sexual stimulation.

Is premature ejaculation a sign of a serious health problem ?

Not in most cases. Rarely, premature ejaculation results from a serious health problem, such as nervous system damage from surgery or trauma.

How is premature ejaculation diagnosed ?

Your doctor will discuss your medical and sexual history with you and conduct a thorough physical examination. Your doctor may want to talk to your partner also. Because premature ejaculation can have many causes, your doctor may order laboratory tests to rule out any other medical problem.

How is premature ejaculation treated ?

Premature ejaculation often goes away without treatment. But if it happens frequently, and it makes you or your partner unhappy, you may want to talk to your family doctor. There are several possible methods for delaying orgasm.

Behavioral methods

Behavioral methods are helpful for more than 95 percent of men who have premature ejaculation.

In this type of treatment, you practice controlling your ejaculation, either alone or with a partner.

  • In the start-and-stop method, you or your partner will stimulate your penis until you feel like you are about to have an orgasm. Then the stimulation stops for about 30 seconds. Once you regain control of your response, stimulation begins again. This process is repeated 3 or 4 times before you allow yourself to have an orgasm.
  • The squeeze method works in a similar way. When you feel like you are about to ejaculate, you or your partner will gently squeeze the head of your penis for about 30 seconds so that you begin to lose your erection. You repeat this process several times before you allow yourself to reach orgasm.

In addition to using a behavioral method, you may want to try thought distractions. For example, while you’re being sexually stimulated, think about the names of players on your favorite sports team, or think of some beautiful scenic experience

Psychological assistance

Anxiety, depression and other emotional issues can lead to premature ejaculation. For these issues, seeking the help of a psychologist, psychiatrist or sex therapist may be helpful. Couples therapy may also help if relationship problems are the cause of premature ejaculation.

Auroh Homeopathic Treatment for Premature Ejaculation

homeopathy discerns that the body has within it a controlling and defending force and power .It is only when this fighting power or resistance is disturbed, do we fall ill. The disease is thus not an affection of the parts but a disorder in the patient as a whole. Since one patient differs from another each requires a different medicine based on his individual and mental symptoms.

homeopathy can provide significant relief to patients suffering from male sexual dysfunction. The medicines target the underlying cause of the dysfunction and provide effective relief from the same. At Auroh we have been treating patients with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and other male sexual dysfunctions for years now and have had good response in most cases.

homeopathy works especially well in those cases where the cause of sexual dysfunction is psychological such as depression, stress or anxiety of performance. In cases where nerve damage (due to surgical causes) has resulted in erectile dysfunction (impotence) or ejaculation problems, homeopathy can help to improve the nerve functions over a period of time. Dysfunction resulting from surgical causes (such as Peyronie's disease) may not respond too well to treatment. As far as drug-induced causes are concerned, the physician may suggest alternative medications that may not have an adverse effect on the person's sexual functions. Lastly, constitutional homeopathic treatment can also help in tackling systemic causes of sexual dysfunction such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, hormonal problems, etc.

Conventional treatment of erectile dysfunction includes drugs like Sildenafil Citrate (famous by the brand name Viagra), Vacuum Constriction Device, Penile Injection Therapy and surgery. Too much attention has been drawn to Viagra by the media notwithstanding the potentially dangerous side-effects of this drug. Viagra enables erection (in the presence of sexual stimulation) within an hour of administration but can lead to some serious side-effects such as impaired vision, hypotension, stroke, increased intraocular pressure, mental confusion, dizziness, headaches and sudden hearing loss. It can be very dangerous especially for men who are suffering from cardiovascular diseases. The conventional medication for premature ejaculation such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), desensitizing creams, etc. also tend to provide only temporary relief but not lasting solution.

homeopathy, on the other hand, effectively deals with the root cause of the disorder and provides lasting solutions. In addition, certain changes in the lifestyle can go a step further and relieve the patient of his problems successfully without opting for any make-shift treatment. It is strongly suggested that patients suffering from erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation or other sexual dysfunctions seek homeopathy early on to experience the benefits of this science to the fullest.

Homeopathy is strongly recommended for Premature Ejaculation
